3rd FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival brings together Indian & international films that deal with human rights issues at macro as well as micro level – from global concerns to indigenous issues. These films urge us to reflect, react, revolutionalize and act as ‘flashpointer’ to usher in change. 3rd edition of FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival will be held Dec 12, 13 & 14, 2013 at Alliance Française de Bombay. It will screen 13 significant films on human rights issues. These films will serve as a great catalyst for stirring discussion and debate around human rights issues – both Indian and international. There will also be panel discussions to discuss key human rights issues, in an effort to create better understanding and enable an environment for greater social equity. FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival, organized by Solaris Pictures, with ACEE - The Third Eye as co-organizers. Movies That Matter (Netherlands) and Alliance Française de Mumbai are Principal Partners. The festival is supported by Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival. The festival is a FREE event, open to the public. FLASHPOINT Human Rights Film Festival has become a very important event as currently it is the only human rights film festival in India. While the first edition in 2010 saw a turnout of 1820, the second edition in 2011 had 2060 seat occupancy. The festival also has been well attended by esteemed filmmakers, critics, academics and activists.
